Title: Rickenbacker 4001 Copy
Post by: Björn Eriksson (admin) on March 28, 2007, 10:00:03 PM
I know that the Rickenbacker bass Model 4001 has been copied a lot through the years. There are still guitars & bass manufacturers who build them. Here is one that isn't original, it's a Jolana D-bass  ???  It says Rickenbacker on the headstock!!(http://www.beatles-revival.cz/fotky/Rickenbacker-4001.jpg)

Here is a Sigma:

Here is an Ibanez:

I think I will add a list of copies, both basses and guitars on my website. As reference.... :)

I've seen another Jolana copy somewhere (guess it was on ebay), but the TRC said "Jolana":

The "fireglo" on that Sigma looks like it was done by a graffiti artist with a can of Tremclad!  :P
