I'm healthy and OK that way. But I'm working so much to get by in this economy that I don't have much time for forum stuff! >:(

It's hard to tell from that picture; but it seems small for a tenor guitar, yet awfully large for a ukulele! :o

Congratulations on your 10th Anniversary, Bjorn! ;D  You should be very proud of the work that you have done. I think you have the best and most complete Rickenbacker library/site available. Here's to another ten years - and more!

IMO / Re: Guitar Amps

Everything I have is original 1963 to 1970 Fender or a reissue of an amp from that era. Perfect tone for me every time and reliability that can't be beat. I have a '63 Bassman, a '65 Twin reverb, a '65 Dual Showman,a '69 Twin Reverb, a '70 Vibrolux, a '70 Vibratone, a Twin Reverb '65 Reissue, and a Twin Reverb '65 Reissue Classic 15.

I'm partial to my old '70 360-12 with slanted frets. I bought it from a factory rep in 1971.

Fender / Re: The best Fender combo amp?
« on: April 11, 2008, 12:49:28 AM »
Of the new amps, the Hot Rod Deluxe is a good one, although I don't have one. My mainstays have always been Fender Twin Reverbs. I have four, an original '65 I bought used a few years ago, a '69 that I bought new, a '65 Reissue to retire the two old amps, and one of the new '65 Reissue Classic 15's for the jazz that I play now. I also have a '70 Vibrolux that probably has the sweetest tone of any amp ever built. I never met a Vox or Marshall that I liked; and I really tried to like them and played a ton of them through the years. The Fenders were always the best sounding and most reliable amps for me.

Soundcheck / Re: "The jangle sound"

Way back when I used to actually use my slanted fret 360-12 on band gigs in the early '70's, I just used the Ric through a '69 Twin Reverb (with JBL's) with no effects. It jangled just fine! 8) 8)
