That's Life / Once again - another car!
« on: June 26, 2007, 10:00:22 AM »
This is even more serious! The car I had as a second car was stolen from my locked garage. We had gone for a short trip using our SAAB 9-3, leaving the Volvo 740 GLT at home.

The car was found on the night between 24-25 of June. It was totally burnt out. Why do these things happen?

I should need some more security added around me and my house. It was "only a car" but I really need it every day.

Vox / Vox Valvetronix ToneLab
« on: June 18, 2007, 09:58:59 PM »
I just got myself a Vox Valvetronix ToneLab. This little preamp/effect box is really outstanding. The sound is great for recording but also when I play on stage through a PA system.
I have been using a Vox Valvetronix AD60VT for the last three years and The ToneLab is just as great. I use the same foot controller as I did with the amp. It feels just like before on stage too. Maybe that "backline" feeling on the stage is altered a little bit but I guess I'll get used to it.

I am curious to hear if there is someone in this forum who uses ToneLab (SE or LE, too). What is your opinion?

That's Life / My car got stolen today!

This section is for those things happening now and then. It does NOT need to be a music related.

Like today when I was planning to drive home from work and realized that my car was stolen. I thank someone somewhere that I had no instruments in it. That would have been a real tragedy!
It will probably be found some day, unrecognizable and destroyed.

Vox teardrop dressed up as a Rickenbacker or a Rickenbacker teardrop....
I just received this photo in an email. This is what it says:
"Hi !
Do you know this Rick ?
It's for sale.
I never heard or read about it.
I thought it was a Vox .
It's from the Chateau d'Herouville collection (France). The place were the Bee Gees recorded "saturday night fever".

This is just crazy. I don't know what to think.

Vox / Vox AD60VT

I love this amp, that's for sure. Unfortunately it doesn't always perform without problems. Yesterday it started to change the tonality without any reason. The edge disappeared from the sound and I had to "restart" the preset to get it back.
I will take it to the shop for an examination today. I wonder what is wrong?

I have also noticed that it loses effect (power) sometimes and I wonder if anyone of you have any experience with these Vox amps. I have had mine for 4 years and lately it has begun to act weird....

I am trying to find this book "Say Yes" written by Rick Wakeman. When searching the net I come up with a number hits showing prices that are extremely high.
If anyone can find a good price for this book, they are printing them again, please let me know.

Here is a link to Rick's site and the book
