The AC40F is likely my next major purchase. I have never actually heard one before but, I have faith in Carvin guitars, and with their warranty I have little reservation about buying it. It's very cool to hear that someone I trust really likes it too, and thanks for the compliments guys.

Fender made/makes great tube amps, that's for sure. I no longer play in a working band but, occassionally some friends stop by and jam with me. Several have wanted me to play with them full time but, I am a family man and have very little spare time. I do some home recording on my I-Mac, and thats the focus of most of my creative energy nowadays.

You would expect nothing less out of a Fender tube amp, no? I have an early 70s blackface deluxe and it is hands down, my favorite guitar amp of all time. Every guitar I own sounds awesome through it. I seen your band in the other thread, those are beautiful guitars. Which guy/Tele is you? I am primarily a bassist but, I have been playing guitar since I was about 8, and I always wanted a Tele because, of all the Fenders I have ever played, the only two I ever really liked, were both Telecasters. My Dad is also a bassist and he has several nice Fender basses, the nicest I've played, in fact, but I wouldn't buy one myself. I played one of my dad's friends' Carvins and promptly bought one. It looks an awful lot like a Tele, and it is a seriously sweet guitar but, I wouldn't mind someday adding an old Telecaster to my collection. Sorry for rambling, anyway, those are beautiful guitars.

It's not a Tele, but when I was looking for a Tele, I changed my mind and bought this one. It's a 99 Carvin TL60, and it is the best playing and best sounding guitar(regular) I have ever owned. I threw in a picture of most of the family too.

Mid-nineties Carvin model LB76 (KOA)

I like it very, very much.

Soundcheck / O.K. I'll go first

I have a Carvin RL1000 with a 4x10, and a 1x18. I use a BBE sonic stomp, a Dunlop 105Q, and occasionally a Boss chorus pedal, and an MXR distortion pedal ( The good old yellow one). I EQ like this, up with the mids, up with the highs, moderate on the lows. I frequently change basses and thus change EQ settings, but bassically this is it.

I have standard Schaller strap locks on my 4001, as I do on all my guitars. Wise investment.

Ah, That's a nice one David, can't wait to see it with the Hipshot. Incidentally; Bjorn, here's a few shots of my 74' fireglo.

Thanks for the cool site.
