So, my patience has paid off; I recently took delivery of a pre-owned 350V63/12 in amber fireglow that I found in the USA at the right price!

I would normally NEVER buy a guitar without trying it, but these models are so rare, and as I had a chance to buy from a very well respected dealer in the USA with excellent reviews and at the right price, I decided to take the risk.
I was more than delighted when it arrived; in original unblemished vintage case, opened to reveal the guitar in absolutely perfect, mint, almost as new condition.

Having gigged it four times now, the guitar is all and more that I could have hoped for.........the timbre of the smaller & lighter chambered body, the three original toaster pickups all in a beautiful amber fireglow finish!

I had searched for a long time one of these rare Rics and now I am in Rickenbacker 12 string jangle heaven!!

I've just bought a Roland JC-40 (Jazz Chorus 40watt) amp for gigging. This is the finest amp I have ever used for my Ric 620/12. Absolutely sparkling, crystal clear sound, even at high volume which is VERY loud!!
Excellent onboard reverb & spacious stereo chorus plus fx loop and DI out.
Played direct in through an optical compressor (Zoom muti-fx stompbox) this amp is absolutely Rickenbacker jangle heaven!!

Bass & Guitar Strings / Thomas Vinci Flat Wound Strings
« Last post by Acid Fuzz on March 22, 2016, 10:56:59 PM »
Just letting everyone know that Thomas Vinci strings now makes flat wound sets and their "light" electric flat wound set is my favorite with my Rickenbacker 360. I was so impressed with these I did a demo:

It's so much easier to bend and vibrato with the light gauge set, plus they have nice rich tone and last a loooong time. After trying all the other flat wound sets available I now use the Vinci's exclusively.

As it happens, that 350 is in a store not far away from where I live and I had the opportunity to call in yesterday to take a look.
It is without doubt, the best Rickenbacker I have ever played, small and comfortable, fantastic looking and the chambered body gives the instrument a wonderful acoustic kind of timbre.

Sorry about the 6-string 350. I didn't look close enough. I'll keep on looking for a guitar for you. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the replies.

Unfortunately, the one in the USA is out of my price range, particularly when you add on import duty; also, I would not buy any instrument without trying it first!

The one at GuitarGuitar in the UK is exactly what I'm looking for, unfortunately, it's only got half as many strings as I want!! ;D

Finding a 350/12 (at the realistic price) seems to be like seeking the holy grail............. I'll just have to keep looking.

Cheers.............Brian

Maybe this one could be of some interest?

It's not exactly what you ask for but I guess it is a fine complement to your 620/12
