Noisey Vox AC30
« on: March 24, 2007, 10:22:25 AM »
I have a 1979 AC30 Top Boost Reverb amp which has always been very buzzy since Ibought it used in 1990.  I have had it serviced and changed the valves over the years, but it remains noisey.  I have used it for both live work and recording without too much problem, but does anyone else have similar problems or have any ideas on how I might remedy it? ???

I remember that my AC-30TB from the 60's could very noisy in the electronics.

The good thing was that it was never heard when I played.
Does the sound mask/supress the buzz or can it be heard all the time?

When playing through the amp the buzz is completely masked and live and studio work isn't affected too badly.  It's when the amp is idle you hear it most.
